Fountains/Aeration:
The
Pond Guy inc. can assist you in designing the correct system
for your application. There are two basic types of aeration.
One is called "sub-surface aeration," which is
performed by using a compressor on land feeding diffusers
that are placed at the bottom of the pond. This type of
aeration works best with depths of 4 feet and deeper. These
systems require very little maintenance and can operate
year round. The diffuser introduces bubbles from a depth
to achieve oxygen transfer and mixing.
The
other type is called "surface aeration," and is
performed using fountains, which are anchored in the pond
or lake. These fountains can have many different nozzle
patterns as well as lights. They do require some maintenance
from time to time.
Both
systems will address many problems that occur in ponds today,
such as algae, stagnation, aquatic weeds, odors, insects,
and sludge.
The
Pond Guy Inc is a authorized distributor of AquaMaster
Fountains and Aerators.
